Tohoku University, JETRO Sendai office, and Miyagi Prefecture were invited to give lectures for “Virtual Japan immersion” organized by Mizuho India Japan Study Centre at Indian Institutes of Management, Bangalore, India (IIMB).
Virtual Japan immersion is a 5-day intensive course for MBA students interested in Japan-related business, offering interactive sessions with Japanese companies, organizations, and management executives. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all sessions were held online this year.
Followed by JETRO Sendai and Miyagi Prefecture’s presentation, specially appointed professor Yoshiko Narita, Center for Co-Creation Strategy, Tohoku University introduced its innovative research environment and latest initiatives.
Other participants include Mizuho Bank, TOSHIBA, and Meiji University to explain their products, services, technologies as well as market entry strategies and future plans.
Students were all eagerly attentive and had a fruitful discussion with representatives of companies and organizations, which satisfied their interests in Japanese business, education, and research environment.
Mizuho India Japan Study Centre was established in September 2017 at IIMB to accelerate academia-business collaborations between India and Japan, and the JETRO Bangalore office supported coordinating the sessions.
